The scholarship is available to students with a valid disability certificate or certificate of the degree of disability, or a certificate referred to in Art. 5 and Art. 62 of the Act on Vocational and Social Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities. The application together with the certificate must be submitted to the Academic Support Zone (formerly the Office for People with Disabilities), building A30, which confirms the degree of disability and keeps the documentation.
The scholarship can be awarded regardless of the degree of disability:
- Severe degree, e.g. total incapacity for work and independent living, 1st disability group,
- Moderate degree, e.g. total incapacity for work, 2nd disability group,
- Mild degree, e.g. partial incapacity for work, 3rd disability group.
The amount depends on the degree of disability:
- 600 PLN per month: mild degree of disability,
- 750 PLN per month: moderate degree of disability,
- 900 PLN per month: severe degree of disability.
The scholarship is granted from the month the application is submitted for one semester of studies. If the certificate expires during the semester, the scholarship will not be paid from the month following its expiry. Payment resumes from the month in which the certificate's validity is extended.
If the disability arose during studies or after obtaining a professional degree, the scholarship for students with disabilities is available for an additional period of 12 semesters, beyond the standard limit.
